Happy Wednesday!  It's time for this week's Wow'd Us Wednesday reveal and since December Daily and Project 12/Project Life are in the forefront of my scrapping these days, I went back through the gallery to find a member who has done this well!

Check out this Project 12 December 2011 layout by Carla Schultheis:

Not only is it holiday related but it's a two-pager as well!  Don't you just love the pom-pom fringe?!

Here is a layout one I created.  I layered all different flowers and even added in a metal center.
Let's see what you all come up with!

Be sure to stop back over the Gallery to give us a glimpse of what you created!

I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday with your families, friends and eveyone dear to your heart.

December DT Gallery

The Little Red Ladies have done it again...blown me away with their creativity and ability to create unique projects with the same products.  Here's one of Meg's...love that she created a multi font title, used stickers from three sets...the flowers, the butterflies...it's so pink and girly and sweet!!!

Stroller rides with Buddy...

Karrie used the same pennant sticker and the same red paper and October Afternoon stickers but got a very different look...

Trading Places

How cute are those photos, also!!!  And here's Tammy's...she used my favorite woodgrain papers...and the amazing yellows just popped this photo!  (See the washi in the corner of the photo??)

TammyLO2December12

and one from me...I had fun with my Cameo for this, the leaves and the doily were cut with kit papers...I loved Tammy's use of this paper for her beach photos and thought I would use the same but then this moody layout just sort of showed up as I was playing...

Stay with me

So there's my favorite picks from the DT Gallery this month...be sure to pop by and check out all the eye candy!  There are lots more to see in The Gallery.  Don't forget we have fun challenges and sketches for you, too.  :)  Most are posted here on the blog, but you can find them on the Challenge Board, too.

Weekly Challenge

I absolutely LOVE the Washi Tape Sara uses when packaging up the kits. I personally don't have any of my own, but I always try to use the tape she includes on the packaging.

My challenge to you this week is to carefully remove the Washi Tape and use it up! Here are some examples from this month's kit. Have fun with it!

Friday Fun!

Karrie here with this week's edition of Friday Fun!  I have been having a great time creating projects inspired from Pinterest.  I thought I would share with you a  few of my latest creations.

These Melted Snowman Ornaments were super easy to make using clear glass ornaments, Epsom Salt, peppercorns and scraps of orange paper.  I made these with Avery, age 3, and she is giving them to her preschool teachers for Christmas.

This is a very inexpensive vase I had on hand.  I got a $1 porcelain house from Dollar Tree and added glitter to it.  Set in on a base of Epsom Salt and stuck in some sprigs of fake greenery I pulled of a wreath in the basement.  So simple and very elegant.

Here are a couple altered canvases I made with left over Thickers.  The large blue canvas is hard to see but says "Dashing Through the Snow" and has large snowflakes on it.  The red canvas says "Deck the Halls".  Again, very simple but looks so nice on the mantel.

I hope this inspires you to go out and create a few projects you've been hoarding on Pinterest.

DT Gallery Peek

Here's a peek at the DT girls first designs of the month...first up, Meg's layout...I love how she misted the doily and layered upon it for her whole cluster.

Our Sunday Afternoons...

Tammy blew me away with this beachy layout of her best friend.  I didn't really think of this paper as beachy but LOOK at this!!!!  Yeah, so lifting that!

Beach- December LRS Kit

Karrie used this same paper but with totally different results...LOVE how she used the frame, too!

The Next Top Chef

Nikki created this sweet layout...look how little and cute Bella was!  The floral paper is perfect and she used the frame in a unique way, too!

Mine

Lastly, mine...I could buy 10 of this woodgrain paper and still want to hoard more...I love it!

Love You

So there's our first look...hope you enjoyed it!!

December Card Challenge!

Hi everyone!

I have the pleasure of posting the December Card Challenge and I had a great time creating with the December kit.  This kit is amazingly versatile and can fit just about any subject!  My challenge for you this month is to create a card with some sort of cut-out on it.  It can be on the edge, like my example, or it can be in the middle with a little embellishment peeking through.  You get to decide but I want to see a cut out!

Please upload your card to the challenge area of the gallery and link a photo of it to the December Card Challenge thread so we can all admire your work!  Have fun!

The eve of December daily...

It's finally here!  The eve of December daily!  I for one, absolutely love doing a December daily album every year and look forward to following Ali Edwards December Daily posts for such incredible inspiration!

Today I want to share with you my album cover. I will be using the Crate Paper, "Make it merry" line with some little tidbits I have laying around my scrap table. The album is a American Crafts 8x8 Red album.  I am trying to keep my front cover pretty simple.  Now the rest of the book, well that's a different story!

So, how many of you are diving into this project this year? Have you made your cover yet? What items and paper line are you going to use to create yours?  Have you done this in the years past?  I would love to hear all about your adventures with this project.

I will be starting a thread HERE to share our ideas, thoughts and pictures on Saturday December 1st.  Please stop on over and join us, we would love to hear all about your beautiful books!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wow'd Us Wednesday!

It's Wow'd Us Wednesday time!  I love this time of the month when I get to cruise around the gallery and choose a layout that just knocks my socks off.  Look at this little gem I found by Carla Schultheis. She created this layout using Lisa's November Sketch by Scrapfriends.com and I love the what she did with it, don't you?!

The alpha's she used coordinates perfectly with the theme and she even used a misting technique to pull it all together!  Congrats on your Wow'd Us Wednesday toot Carla!!

Monday Weekly Challenge

Good Morning and HAPPY MONDAY. I hope you all started off your Monday with a good start! When I created this layout I am about to share with you to go with this Challenge, I wanted to really push myself to do something I have not done in a long time. How many of you find it hard to scrapbook about yourself? Do you have an album all about you? I remember when there used to be this "Dare" challenge out each week, that would challenge people to make a layout about themselves with a theme each week. I LOVED that! It really got me to focus more on who I am into a book that would later be another great gift to my children/grandchildren when I was long gone. In a way it works like a Picture/journal diary as well. You really get to know who you are with the different topics. With my layout I chose to be a little silly and pick a topic that is funny to me. I was born with naturally curly hair, but for as long as I can remember, I LOVE to straighten my hair ( those of you with naturally curly hair know what I mean lol). So I thought I would showcase my hair both ways and show how I am so fickle with the hair being straight or curly.

So my challenge to you, is to get a little silly and have some fun making a layout ALL ABOUT YOU! When you are done, please upload your layout to our Little Red Scrapbook Gallery. We always love to see your work!

Friday Fun!!! Woohoo!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends, ate lots of good food and had a great time! What about Black Friday, did any of you venture off in the crowds of people at the stores today? I know I did ;) can't pass up a chance to make my kiddos Christmas a little better with some great deals on gifts, I know my son will be HAPPY with the Nerf shooter I got dirt cheap at Target late last night, the deals on lalaloopsy dolls where amazing at Target as well, My daughter will be thrilled. Even picked up some of their awesome movie deals. What about you, how did you do? Come join us on the LRS message boards and tell us how you did today. Tell us how your Thanksgiving went, maybe share some pictures, we would love to chat with you!

Now on to our LRS Friday Fun. I thought it would be fun to do a little Color Challenge. I have a board on Pinterest just for Color inspiration and challenges. It really pushes me to think about color on my creations. I also included my layout using the colors from the color challenge, which just so happened to match some of the papers we got in the November LRS kit :) Once your done, please upload your creations to our gallery. Happy Scrapping!

My Layout using these colors...

Karrie's November Weekly Challenge

I thought I would post a little different kind of challenge this week since we are all busy with Thanksgiving and probably can't get much scrapping in. Instead of a layout challenge, your challenge this week is to do 3 things:

#1: Upload 3 projects into the LRS gallery.
#2: Give some love to 5 member's projects in the LRS gallery.
#3: Like us on Facebook if you haven't done so already.

Post in LRS Challenge thread when you've completed these 3 tasks and your name will go into a drawing to win a Fancy Pants Design 12X12 Memo Book. This book has 24 double sided notebook pages featuring some very creative designs.

Challenge will run from November 19 - November 30.  I will draw a name and post on December 1.

See you in the gallery!

November Mid Month DT Gallery Highlights

Just in time to play along with Tammy's "Scraplift the DT" challenge, I bring you the Mid Month DT Gallery Highlights as chosen by me, Lisa.  ;)  It's always a treat to see the different styles of each designer.  I can see a layout in the gallery and know right away who has designed it..I think I love that the best...there are so many different ways each kit can be used and our DT girls are the perfect example of that!

Soooo...first up, I give you Karrie's "footy pjs rock" layout!  I mean, really...how stinkin' cute is this??  Karrie, you crack me up!  I love how she clustered the tags on the right and even snuck in the little piece of washi tape used to close the embellie bag in the kit!  Just plain FUN!!

Footy PJs Rock

Next up, we have Meg's "Sisters are Forever" layout.  Leave it to Meg to create such a beautifully feminine layout...she is the queen of shabby chic and she pulled it off so perfectly on this layout...look at how she used the spools, the pins the misting on her letters!!!  All her layers are so fun and she even let this piece of paper do some of the work for her!  LOVE.

Sisters are Forever

Tammy...where do I start with the greatness that is this layout?  I absolutely LOVE the embellie cluster in the top left...the way she tucked the frame in there...and then, check out that title...adorable!!!  And don't let me ignore the "lazy" stitching...it really pulls the entire layout together...it's so easy to forget that something as simple as a black pen can make such an impact!
Ruby's Dress- November LRS Kit

Nikki...this girl has such a way with ink...whether it's the edges of the paper, the stamping on the actual layout or even in this case, the FLOWERS...I love how she uses INK. And again, that little pop of the washi tape...don't throw it away!!!
Delightful

And lastly, one more from me.  I did 4 layouts and card this month because I was so inspired by this kit...everything came together so effortlessly...so this one used the embellie add on.  I was so intrigued by the Prima DOORS...and this is what came of it...the hidden journaling behind the photo talks about how it doesn't matter what you wear as long as you wear a smile.  I think most teenage girls could be reminded of that, don't you?)  In the packing of the doors were cutable banners, so that is what you see at the bottom of the photo, from the packaging, as well as the tabs on the tags..and I misted my title with the new Heidi Swapp Peach mist which was the PERFECT match for these papers.  It's really glimmery in person. :)

Never Fully Dressed

So there you have it, our mid month design highlights as chosen by me!!  Hope you like them and are as inspired as I was and that you'll play along with our "scraplift the DT" challenge HERE.  Have a wonderful weekend!!

Monday Challenge: Scraplift the DT!

Happy observed Veterans Day!  Please take a moment to thank all Veterans past and present for the freedoms we enjoy today.

I have the pleasure of throwing out today's challenge!  For my challenge, I would like you to pick a layout out of the gallery that has been created by one of our fabulous Design Team members and scraplift it!  There is nothing more fun than seeing how each of us inspires you, our wonderful LRS Members.  Please be sure to give the DT member credit when you lift her layout.

I took inspiration from AnnaMarie.  AnnaMarie is one of those scrappers who I have waited each month to see what she creates next because she does such beautiful work!  Here is the layout I lifted of hers:

...And this is what I created using the LRS November kit and the yummy add-on embellishment kit. I used a 5X7 photo instead of a small one but I still love how it turned out.  Thanks AnnaMarie!

Please upload your layout to the challenge area of the LRS gallery and link a photo of it along with the layout you've scraplifted to my challenge thread. You never know you just may be featured in our next Wow'd Us Wednesday post...have fun!!

Friday fun day--11/9

Welcome to Friday fun day!   Hard to believe it is already November 9th and the Holidays are right around the corner!  So while I was thinking about how close we really are, I thought about how I have been working diligently on my Holiday cards for the past 2 months already. I know, call me crazy, but you all  know  how much time it takes to get these things moving along, right?!!

Well, you guessed it, Friday fun day is all about Holiday card making today!  I don't know about you all but I LOVE making Holiday cards, it is my favorite thing to do!  So today I am going to show you one of my favorite things to add to my cards.  You know that clear, irridescent snow that you see in all the department stores right now for the decorative villages for under your tree?  Well, I stock up on that inexpensive stuff every year and have a couple little drawers full of it.

Here are two cards I wanted to share with you with this fabulous stuff on them:

Don't you just love the dimension and depth it gives the card, and don't forget the little sparkle!  We all need a little sparkle in our life don't we?!    Now that I have your wheels turning, I would love to see what ideas you come up with using a unique, out of the box embellishment that you might find.

Please stop on by the boards and share with us what you have created!

Happy Friday!
Meg

November's card challenge...

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It's that time again, Time for our monthly card challenge!

This month I challenge you to using some of those cute little wooden embellishments that have been popping up everywhere in the scrapping world.  In this particular card, I used the wooden trees that were included in our kit.  Here is what I created with them:

You may ink them, paint them, mist them or just leave them as is, just as long as you incorporate them as a part of your card creation.

Be sure to link back over right Here, so that we can enjoy the beautiful creation you made.

Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

Our Theme Kit is NOT scary!!

2012 Sept/Oct Theme Kit

Happy Halloween fellow crafters!! It's Lisa, posting on my favorite holiday of the year!!  Hope you are enjoying this very fun holiday and that you are making memories worth scrapping!  I have been busy crafting with the October Theme kit and I must say,  it was a treat, not a trick, to scrap with it this month!  You may have seen my little witches hat in the gallery...
                       Theme Kit Witch Hat
To the paper mache hat from Michaels, I added a bit of tulle and black paint but the rest was all from the kit.from the doily, to the witch card, the die cuts, flowers, words, buttons, bling, paper...all of it!    I just love how dimensional it is and it is the perfect addition to my haunted lounge.  My circle cutter made easy work of this project, if you'd like a tutorial just let me know!

I also created this layout with the kit.  I added some of the new Heidi Swapp mist and some sewing, but the rest is all from the kit.  Even the glassine bag and washi tape!!  (I used the bat die cut as a mask for my misting)

There are still some kits available if you'd like to have one shipped with your November Kit, it's free to ship with your kit!  Here are the kit contents...it is SUCH a good value!

Just add a little paint

Or a lot! :) My weekly challenge came to me when I was in the middle of trying to map out my idea for this layout. I was moving the patterned paper all around the layout trying to figure out what was missing and why I kept feeling like it looked incomplete. I had the stamping done but just could not figure it out. It dawned on me that it needed some extra "color" or "pop" to drawl out the design I was going for. So I reached for my Yellow Adirondack acrylic paint dabber and just started dabbing away :) This layout was my end result...

If you ever feel like your layout is just not coming together because it's missing something, try a little paint on it. I think it adds so much more to my projects. I do like "white" space but for this layout I just felt it needed a little more color. Try this out on your next layout! I would love to see what you do!

Friday Fun - My Recent Pinterest "Finds" :)

There is something about the onset of fall that makes it feel like the "official launch" of holiday planning, decorating, and gift giving. I find myself this week busily adding new inspiration links to my Pinterest boards, and thought it would be fun to share with you some of my latest fall "pins" (clicking on any of the images below will take you directly to each link as well! ;))

Ok first up - check out these super CUTE pumpkin creations made out of....Baker's Twine!

Second, check out this adorable pumpkin tree...what a neat use of fall-themed patterned paper - LOVE!! :)

And the sweet simplicity of this fall-themed frame (and the versatility it additionally offers for decorating within any season) on your very own mantle - just gorgeous!

Or for those of you who prefer a lovely fall scrappy wall hanging ;) :

I am so loving this pumpkin created with book pages!

And these fabric pumpkins totally inspire me to want to sew!! Aren't the fabrics so rich and vibrant? They SCREAM fall! :)

And don't forget that scrapping and creating and decorating can really make you work up an appetite - how about some cookies to keep your motivation going? ;)

Of course the holidays can sometimes bring about those unwanted pounds too, so we can always keep it on the healthier side of things with this darling turkey veggie platter. ;)

So now that I've shared with you some of my recent finds, I want to see yours!! :) Please share with me some of your more recent pins - and they don't have to be limited to just fall! You can either comment here or over on the message board. :) I look forward to seeing some of YOUR new favorites! :)

Happy Friday all! :)
